Santa's Surprise Squad

After three seasons as the Program Director of Santa’s Surprise Squad, I led a team of five directors and nearly 100 volunteers in a seasonal community initiative that raised awareness and support for children in foster care. Through our own fundraising efforts, we raised over $12,000 independently, while our partnerships with local organizations helped generate more than $20,000 in support for California foster care agencies. Our signature approach was the flash mob: a coordinated, unexpected public performance where dancers appeared to spontaneously unite and then disperse, using the power of surprise and movement to inspire generosity and bring communities together.
